JOB SUMMARY:
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for providing expert knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including inverters and battery storage solutions, to support client engagement and sales efforts. This role involves responding to technical inquiries, developing customized solar solutions, and creating detailed proposals and presentations in collaboration with engineering and sales teams. This role builds strong client relationships, delivers data-driven insights, and ensures technical accuracy in all customer-facing materials to drive successful solar project outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expert knowledge of solar PV systems, including photovoltaic (PV) technology, inverters, and battery storage solutions.
- Respond to technical inquiries from customers, offering detailed information on product specifications and installation procedures.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solar solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure the timely delivery of accurate technical proposals.
- Develop and deliver presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Analyze data to support the creation of clear, insightful presentation content.
- Partner with the sales team to prepare proposals, presentations, and technical documentation for prospective clients.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Licensed/Registered Electrical Engineer is a must.
- At least of 2 years of relevant experience in sales and account management.
- Proven track record as a Technical Sales Engineer within the solar or related industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Confident and professional demeanor with effective negotiation skills.
- Solid understanding of financial models related to solar projects, including ROI and payback period analysis.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
