Project Site Managers (Zambales & Panay)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the on-site execution of utility-scale
solar projects. This role ensures that construction activities are carried out in line with project
plans, quality and safety standards, and schedule and budget requirements. This role will
coordinate closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors
to ensure effective site operations and successful project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Leadership and Project Execution:

  • Provide strong leadership to on-site teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and milestones.
  • Oversee daily construction activities at the assigned utility-scale solar site (Zambales or Panay), ensuring safe and efficient execution according to plans and standards.
  • Monitor construction progress, resolve issues proactively, and report daily site status to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate site mobilization, workflow, and contractor activities to maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure adherence to the approved construction schedule and initiate recovery plans if necessary.

Technical Oversight and Coordination:

  • Review technical drawings and verify on-site implementation aligns with project specifications and national standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams for timely equipment delivery, design updates, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Support final walkthroughs, punch lists, and project handover procedures.

Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC):

  • Implement and manage QA/QC procedures for all construction activities.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure all work meets design and regulatory standards.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance:

  • Enforce HSE policies and ensure all on-site personnel comply with Philippine OSH Standards.
  • Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure corrective actions are implemented for safety issues.

Stakeholder and Subcontractor Coordination:

  • Act as the main on-site contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and local stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear communication between site teams and project management to resolve technical and logistical issues efficiently.
  • Coordinate with local barangay officials and government agencies as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain organized records including daily work logs, inspection reports, material tracking, and incident documentation.
  • Submit regular reports on progress, safety, and technical matters to the project team.

Resource Management and Planning:

  • Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to optimize site productivity.
  • Assist in manpower planning and track labor efficiency throughout the project.

Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:

  • Identify potential delays or issues early and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Escalate critical problems to the Project Manager with proposed solutions.

Comprehensive Project Lifecycle Support:

  • Support the transition from development to construction, ensuring site readiness.
  • Collaborate with technical teams during testing, commissioning, and operational handover.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (solar/renewable energy focus is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of site management experience in utility-scale construction, preferably in solar PV or renewable energy
  • Strong knowledge of construction management, electrical and civil works, and safety compliance
  • Proven leadership and coordination abilities
  • Familiarity with Philippine building codes, OSH standards, and solar PV best practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction reporting tools
  • Willing to be assigned full-time to either Zambales or Panay project sites.
