JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of rooftop solar
installation projects from design to commissioning. This role involves close collaboration with
internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget,
and in compliance with technical and safety standards. The Project Engineer will assist in
preparing project plans, reviewing technical documents, monitoring progress, and resolving
on-site issues. Additionally, the role will support client communication, stakeholder reporting,
and documentation to ensure quality and regulatory compliance throughout the project
lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management & Coordination:
- Assist in end-to-end project execution from design through commissioning for rooftop
solar installation. - Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk assessments,
and resource requirements. - Coordinate with internal departments (design, procurement, logistics, construction) to
ensure alignment on project goals. - Monitor project timelines and milestones, track progress, and resolve deviations or
delays proactively. - Organize and participate in project kick-off meetings, regular progress reviews, and
stakeholder updates.
Technical Oversight:
- Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy
and constructability. - Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Interface with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure technical compliance and timely
delivery.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients during project execution.
- Ensure customer expectations are managed and met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project reports, technical documentation, and updates to
stakeholders.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure projects comply with relevant local regulations, codes, and international
standards. - Support quality assurance and control checks throughout the construction and
commissioning process. - Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and certifications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (solar/renewable
energy focus is a plus). - At least 3 years of experience in solar EPC project execution or project engineering.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, construction workflows, and EPC project
lifecycles. - Proficient in project planning tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
