Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist clients in the project development and project management of renewable energy projects throughout the project life cycle – from development to construction, to operational hand-off.
- Assist UGEP in business development efforts to grow business, including client relations, proposal development, and attendance at conferences and workshops.
- Develop plans and estimates for projects, including equipment and construction pricing, labor rates and schedules, and productivity estimates.
- Work in partnership with development teams to assure a seamless transition of sites into the construction phase.
- Provide leadership for on-site project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Ensure successful QA/QC and commissioning processes.
- Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews.
- Travels as needed to perform required activities.
Education and Experience
- Prior experience as a Site Engineer Manager or Project Developer responsible for the development, design, engineering, and construction of utility-scale of solar panels and renewable energy is required for this position.
- Minimum of 5 to 10years of experience in engineering and construction project management of utility- scale energy projects, with 5+ years focused on utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management preferred Registered Engineer.
- Strong contracting, contract negotiations, and risk management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within a project and multiple projects from conception to completion.
- Strong writing, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to clearly present the company and business concepts to both internal and external customers.
- Ability to interpret project financial reports and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Familiarity with engineering practices, construction techniques, solar and energy storage technologies, and regulatory issues required.
- Ability to travel and work on remote renewable energy projects.
- Self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to wear personal protective equipment including hard hats, boots, gloves, vests, and eye protection.
- Drug and alcohol screening may be required on a random basis and/or after being involved in any safety incidents.
