JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining the office’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support, ensuring stable connectivity, and managing the proper use and inventory of all IT equipment. The role also involves recommending tools and automation solutions to improve office workflows and productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other IT devices.
- Ensure stable and secure internet/network connectivity.
- Maintain and monitor an updated inventory of all company IT assets.
- Oversee equipment usage and coordinate timely repairs or replacements.
- Manage software installations, updates, and license compliance.
- Implement and maintain backup systems and basic cybersecurity measures.
- Support staff with IT concerns and provide user guidance or training.
- Recommend tools or automation to streamline office processes and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with external IT service providers when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
- Familiarity with IT asset tracking and software license management.
- Ability to identify and recommend tools or workflows to simplify tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, especially in maintaining IT inventory and documentation.
